DORSEY PLAY AREA IS NOW PERMANENT!
• Thanks To ALL who supported making the Dorsey Field Off-Leash Play Area in Manhattan Beach a permanent facility. This is a huge step forward in our quest to make our city a "dog friendly" place to live. Off-Leash Play Area(s): An Update
Our goal at FIDO is to establish more off-leash play areas within the city of Manhattan Beach. We are currently exploring several possible sites which fit within the criteria established by the Manhattan Beach Dog Committee. We could use help from you in pursuing this goal. There are currently a few individuals that do the majority of the work, while everyone with a dog benefits. PLEASE! Do your part and volunteer to help. Dog Beach Update!!
El Segundo's effort to allow dogs access to a stretch of Dockweiler Beach has been forwarded from the California State Assembly to the State Senate. If success is reached at that level, then our "Gov" gets a chance to either support AB359 or "terminate" the proposed legislation. (see story in the Daily Breeze) |

| FIDO is a local dog advocacy group based in Manhattan Beach, California. We promote responsible dog ownership, reasonable enforcement of dog related ordinances, improved access to parks, and off-leash exercise opportunities for dogs within controlled environments.
